Hello,
I was just asking the same question on icq when I was told to ask the question in support forum. So here we go again.
I am just wondering how come scj couldn't find sites sending such bad fake traffic. I have lot of sites sending like 300 to 800 daily according to scj but according to google analytics they have sent like 1 to 10 daily hits.
Even if the site is sending such fake traffic the main concern is scj is unable to catch them & also the prodictivity from such sites is seem good which made it just impossible to catch them without the help of analytics.
Just trying to find out a solution.
cheers
Why don't scj catch fake traffic or show it as a cheat?
Re: Why don't scj catch fake traffic or show it as a cheat?
Include.php of SmartCJ runs when a page is requested.
Google code is run when JS code is executed.
So mostly we are talking about noJS surfers(or bots)

why not scj runs same like google analytics by executing JS code?
Re: Why don't scj catch fake traffic or show it as a cheat?
You can run it this way but in this case differences between what trade sent to you and you see in admin would be too big and people start to complain that SmartCJ counts wrong.

hmmm I understand but there must be someway possible for script to catch & warn about those fake hits? Also how come those hits are shown as good productive traffic?
Re: Why don't scj catch fake traffic or show it as a cheat?
that's why I offered you to try user vars to see that traffic
If it's bot traffic there's no problem to emulate cookies and make productive clicks
